James Chambers wrote the Bram-Stoker-Award-winning graphic novel, Kolchak the Night Stalker: The Forgotten Lore of Edgar Allan Poe.

His other work in the comic book industry includes editing the series Gene Roddenberry’s Lost Universe, Isaac Asimov’s I-Bots, and Leonard Nimoy’s Primortals for Tekno*Comix/Big Entertainment.

He scripted six issues of Primortals, including the two-part “Origins” with Leonard Nimoy. Other projects for Tekno included editing the graphic novel adaptation of Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s From Dusk Till Dawn and the illustrated prose anthology of I-Bots, published in hardcover by HarperPrism.

Following his stint at Tekno, Chambers created and wrote the critically-acclaimed “The Revenant,” which was drawn by Pat Broderick and ran for five issues in Shadow House, an independent horror comic he co-published with Christopher Mills.

Chambers also wrote the online weekly comic series Tabula Rasa, drawn by Richard Clark, and published by AdventureStrips.com.

His latest comics work has been The Midnight Hour with Jason Whitley, which most recently appeared in the anthology Negative Burn.

In addition, he wrote the monthly columns “Golden Age Extra,” “Silver Bulletins,” and “From the Collector’s Closet,” for Comic Book Collector/COMBO Magazine. “From the Collector’s Closet,” a review of back issue gems available at bargain prices, was published continuously for five years.
